To be clear, that map was from a leaked HCL presentation about the HCL transition. It was only in regards to the people being rebadged to HCL. My question was about wether it was possible that the 10 “zones” that were carved out in that map would turn out to be the ten end “zones” that I keep hearing about. That map has nothing to do with sales, managers, prez, etc. But, the map has 10 areas cutout and I always hear that we’re going to end up with 10 cores - one for each region.

Those maps are for non revenue generating employees, not sales. It says right in the slide what departments they were assigned too. And they originally planned 5 cores, it's up to 10 now.

Sales Managers are safe. VP and Presidents are gone with an exception of a few. That's why most have left and have not been replaced.

When I was let go in January, the xbs president core made it clear he wasn't sure how much longer he had either. Given our relationship I believe him.

This is real. It was part of the presentation mistakenly posted or emailed by HCL around this time last year. Search old posts on this site for the backstory.

There are more slides that laid out when the rebadging would occur and when each GIS Core would be consolidated. Everything that was in the original slide deck has turned out to be accurate.

Whoever posted the link to the consolidation is that real!? Is that the number of ‘head count’ the number of sales reps and they are seriously Going to slice management and sales down that drastically!! Yikes!
I am usually very skeptical of things I read on here but this sound convincing. Time will tell but it does sound like the cat is out of the bag. Sell all you could while you could !!!

This is all speculation. Regardless of consolidation you still have a sales rep to manager ratio of 8:1.
I heard the exact contradiction in that the Conway pres was picked for the NE and CBS was heading up the mid atlantic.
Depending on the size they will still need their best leadership to execute. You lose the Managers, VPs and SVPs you lose your best sales people too. Never mind the fact that an IT business is being created and opportunities are everywhere. Clearly more upset X employees chiming in on things they have no factual data on.

Look at the map on this page. Are these the 10 zones that XBS will become?

All of the original GIS Cores each had multiple layers of sales management. Now that it's all consolidating down to 10 Cores (Regions, really) you can expect probably 90% of the sales management to be reassigned/demoted or let go. All of the Director of Sales, VP of Sales, Sales Manager roles that each Core used to have will be gone and everything will be ran from one site for each of the 10 Regions.

I don't agree with it, because bloated management or not, GIS was very profitable. But this is how Xerox Direct does things.

Any news about the Midwest Cores? COTG, Premier, LRI, MOS, RKD, etc? I work for one of them and we are very much in the dark about what's going to the happen to the Midwest.

If you are a VP/Director of Sales.. get ready to be replaced by these Presidents/Senior VP's being demoted.

Cat is out if the bag. North East will be XBS-Northeast.
No more ITS/NOS/CBS/CARR == Massive Sales Leadership Consolidation.

We are all now Xerox Direct.

Anyone here over 18 Months? Is your manager as optimistic about the future as they were before?

Get out.

What about Presidents of other 3 cores mentioned?
Amcom, Carr and Imagetech, have they been notified?
Are they losing jobs or being demoted and when ?

10 cores is correct.

CBS president leading NE is correct. Conway President was notified last week and signed NDA.

The post also alluded to their being 10 final "zones" and ten presidents. I don't know how many cores have presidents now, but I'm guessing it's more than ten.

I saw it last night. Not sure how accurate it is but it said the 5 cores in the northeast were merging into one core. The new president would be current president of CBS. Not sure how valid or accurate the information is

Haven’t seen the original thread, but avoid posting names and other identifiers, that’s not allowed here. You can name only the top 2-3 company executives, probably because they are considered public figures.
