Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Will stores be affected?

Every time next week's layoffs have been mentioned they were in relation to corporate. Does that mean the rest of us are safe?

Those full timers who have benefits are the first ones affected. To include corporate and management. Medical insurance is so costly. Then, older full timers who are making at least $5 over minimum wage. Then the part timers who have had problems in the past.

Most in corporate. They are monitoring employee communication to find out who is leaking info.

My DM mentioned that fat would be trimmed at the store level pretty soon, but I’m not sure there’s much fat left to trim unless there’s even more stores on the chopping block.

At this point, no one knows. I’m about to go on vacation, and I have no idea if I’ll be returning to a job or not. I guess we wait and see, good thing I’ve been interviewing elsewhere.
