Management prefers low performance employees because they do not outshine them. Management really can’t stand top performance employees who get ZERO opportunities and the low performance Employees know this so they do not even bother to strive for higher performance. Sad but true at Chase Culture.

Overachievers are not welcome They will crush your shining star
I have had this happen to me also. Work hard and no pay increase for 2 years now. Took work on of 4 people that were RIF and I get nothing. They got better jobs within Chase make more money and do less work
Why would a top performing person work at JP Morgan Chase? For some odd reason, people think JP Morgan is a performance based company that wants high-performing employees.
If your producing numbers they wont promote you because then they just lost a top producer.
Average to low employee performance seems to get the skill training, promotions, extra opportunities while if you are a outstanding performance employee you get nada completely overlooked by management.
Yes, I experienced this at JP. A lot of nepotism and brown nosing at middle level. Very clubbish at the top. It's all about whose coattails you can ride on.
