Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Hey thanks for New pay grade....but more pay?

Told I was in the wrong pay grade so we are moving you from 410 into 420 pay grade.
You are not in the correct range of compensation.
So what will my new pay be now? Oh sorry no more pay its stays the same.
But hey look at all the more room you have to move up to a higher salary.

Ah I though you said I was not being compensated enough ?
What a crock of $h!t

Ahhhhh..... the old dangle the carrot in front of the employees trick....
Show you a pay band scale that you will never reach......
I remember when the great ENB once said they were harmonizing everything....what ever happened to harmonizing Legacy UG wages up to ENB wages? I know many roles that ENB employees make quite a bit more than there UG counterparts for the exact same role.....

Remember, Uncle Al will always do whats best......for the shareholder.

You should be glad you were moved to a higher grade. There are many calculations and metrics that go into determining if you're eligible for an increase, but a key one is range penetration . This means, since you now have a wider range band AND your salary hasn't moved, you are now at a lower range penetration. This could make you eligible for an increase ahead of others with a higher range penetration. You could be less of a target during layoff time. It will also be used when looking at pay equity. This is one step towards a potential increase.

If you don’t like working at Enbridge then leave. Plenty of people waiting to take your job that would be grateful to work.

"...not compensated fairly..."

I can make a lot of claims about Enbridge... but this isn't one of them. I'm compensated greater than industry average, and so is everybody around me. Golden handcuffs make it difficult to leave. I would make less anywhere else.

The person who wrote “get on board or GTFO” further proves something I’ve noticed for several years now: Enbridge is no longer a high class company.

It used to be. But that “GTFO” attitude has caused it to descend into the gutter.

Great !! The bullying culture has worked. You have fully been assimilated as Enbridge top material.
It these values in between the lines of published values that make huge numbers come here to read.
Congrats to last post.

Someone's been living in a (Union gas) bubble. Guess what? All your complaining isn't going to change anything back to the way it was. Get on board or GTFO.

Who is CH? I understand what AM stands for

The comment about Union Gas being full of “whiney boomers” that should “leave or GTFO” perfectly reflects the abusive culture that “leaders” such as AM and CH have cultivated.

It’s sad that employees who used to be decent people have had to become hardened a-holes just so they can survive in this culture.

I don’t understand why AM and CH think this is the best way to run a company but it is obvious that they are encouraging bullies to rise to the top.

Infrastructure Planning is a union as well. A union of the top talent that Enbridge holds in their employ.

We complained.........no one listened.
We always heard - "That's a a great concern....We are going to take that one away" (and do absolutely nothing with it)

We were tired of all the BS, Lies, empty promises.

We joined the Union. Best decision we made as a group.

This company has completely used smoke and mirrors with the employees. What was supposed to be better is worse, employees are treated like c-ap, not compensated fairly, and is expected to work in fear every day on whether or not they will continue to have a job. They don’t want to compensate employees for their work which is why they move you up in a pay grade with no extra pay and then say it is still part of the “merge” (which is really a takeover). Morale continues to drop and this company has completely lost trust with its employees or really never had it. Union Gas = hard workers looking out for each other and part of a great family and community. Enbridge = disaster, fear mongering, over working employees and employees who just want out. Not good for the future.

I remember when they told us this "harmonization" was going to be fair and things would come out to be better.

Employees at the bottom of the range get bigger annual raises than employees at the mid-point or top of the range.
