Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

What are they up to now?

Please acknowledge and confirm your commitment by replying to this email.
Aligning on our agreement…

• Every single call matters

• there are no friendly touch calls and superficiality is unacceptable

• Our members

• need us

• require that we give them our best

• are more likely to make progress toward stability if we:

• follow up on take-aways from previous call,

• deeply assess & prioritize needs,

• create active interventions

• invite for questions

• We

• are capable of exceptional productivity and clinical care

• own our promise to the member (accountability)

• will relentlessly pursue excellence without exception

We were sent this email to acknowledge and confirm, meaning what? As far as I can tell this is a contract. If you breach this contract, then what? PIP and termination? We are all doing the best that we can under the current circumstances. Priorities change daily with multiple recent changes in process. We are also asked and required to attend a multitude of meetings, town halls, trainings, team meetings, all while maintaining our MPS metrics. I'm shocked as a nurse, that we would be required to sign something like this. And if we don't acknowledge and confirm, then what?

Have you looked at the jobs for nurses? There are hundreds and hundreds of openings. It is easy to get hired if you have RN after your name.

Humana at home is a toxic workplace because of all the nurses. they never had it so good and most can;t go anywhere else because they are TOXIC

It was M.F. the former VP that was all about " friendly touch calls". Clearly nonsense.Any MEDICAL professional can tell you that's not reimbursable under medicare. Sounds like some large health insurer had their hand slapped.

I am the OP and I'm in HCCP. To anyone that has had doubts, I have been working here for years, and I have always been "all in". I'm insulted that as a professional that we had to be submitted to this agreement I take pride in my work and have always done my best to help my members. I work with a great team of experienced nurses that go above and beyond every day. I've never had a company question my integrity by asking me to sign an agreement which can and will be used against me.

@12vQAXo8-2qea Really? This isn't a Humana message board... What a snotty reply to the OP.

I am also on a team that received that same email and I instantly replied "I'm all IN". First, let's agree that it did not require a signature. I am truly sad that the inner dialog you have with self led you to believe that agreeing to give our members a perfect experience was somehow a trick to get rid of you or something. I don't know maybe it is me that is being tricked and you have certainly given me a moment of pause and worry. I only gave it a moment though, because if they somehow make it a bad thing that I agreed to such a wonderful thing for my members then I don't want to be here anymore anyway. That email described what I truly try to do everyday and get pleasure from, nothing more. I was excited by the passion behind it and still am but this made me feel kind of bad. I'm still going with what I believe the intent was and I think it's more about let's be "world class clinicians".

The formatting was hard to follow but if I read it right I kinda like the message of what was sent: members need them, the member matters and they are committed to excellence. I would not have a problem with it IMHO

In terms of the unbelievable, 10 years ago I wouldn't have believed that the medicare dept would be run out of Manila by a non US crew of highly intelligent, astute and incredibly helpful fillipinos - while thousands of US humana workers are forced onto unemployment. This email, requesting allegiance is perfectly in keeping with Humana's current management style of shifting blame away from themselves and onto the individual employee. Do you suppose this email is making the rounds in Manila -or perhaps they don't count since they are neither US citizens or Humana employees - they therefore retain the right to exercise unlimited stupidity.

Some how I don’t believe this. I’d be more apt to believe it , if you told me what department this occurred in. I would acknowledge that I read it , but , without further explanation and the reason for this , I would not confirm understanding.
If they can’t answer the above , I wouldn’t sign anything

No harm in signing if you want to continue with company and constant changes. No sure if this a legal situation to protect them from any law suits as I know many were RIF'd this year and they did not take Ethics & Compliance Training nor did they have to sign any exit papers, they seem to forget about HIPPA.

sounds like some legal mumbo jumbo dreamed up by humana legal dept to show that Humana takes their commitment to policy holders seriously - just in case one of them is bright enough to sue them for their incredible incompetence. This document will shift the onus of blame onto you and away from them. if you don't sign - you are showing yourself not to be committed to the lofty and superior goals as defined by Humana insurance corporation. I would sign it. Good for a laugh. Don't let them get to you

Seriously? I haven’t received this as of yet. Who knows it will probably show up Monday when I sign in. This is crazy! It’s hard telling what this means. There’s constant changes & constant BS with this company.
