Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Any chance voluntary buyouts might be next?

I'd accept it in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately it is cheaper for them to just let you go if they want as we are considered at will employee. They will just call you in, give you the package and have you sign on the dotted line. Remember this is all pre ordained and the contracts have been signed with the outsourcing companies (TCS et al). They have no incentive to offer buyouts when they can just say bye bye and throw you the severance. I am glad I got mine when I did. The stress level dropped exponentially. Good luck to all. Know there is life after Pepsi.

I asked a few times was told no. There is no voluntary buyout. I am all packed and ready for past year. This is one toxic place I will be happy to never see again.

Org Health results came out recently and work load scored very poorly (surprise, surprise). The solution is to offer more flexible working arrangements. What does that mean? Oh wait, we can now do the mountains of work from the office, at home, on the beach or in the hospital on mornings, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays and vacation. Wow, that’s a great solution.
