Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

MS now rewards hard working , dedicated employees with layoffs

Morgan Stanley are hypocrites with the entire 'Core Value' thing. They are so concerned with their public image when it comes to charities, etc.., so they try to project a good image to the public as a firm. At the same time, internally they have no regard anymore for their hard-working employees, who sacrifice their personal work/life balance 24/7/365.
MS now rewards hard working , dedicated employees with layoffs. Shame on this once regal company who everyone out there once yearned to work for .

Most financial institutions are doing more with less these days. Anyone who still thinks their job is secure is foolish. These days it doesn't matter how dedicated you are for EVERYONE is expendable.

That's so true, I was let go after 16th years by a MD they hired from Merrill Lynch co. He came in and fired the whole department and replaced them with folks from Merrill.

I suggest working less hard next time you join a financial services form, because any time they see a downside, they cut workers. And when order comes in to cut from above, it's up to the individual group managers to decide who gets the boot.
