There is alot of talk but no clear answers. What does everyone think? Are we or aren't we going to overcome this. Our district is getting hours cut, losing stops and the uppers are trying to re-org our routes. Rumors of all sorts, we are going back to 5 days a week just working 10 hr days or going 40hour weeks, no o.t. My head is spinning with this, dont know what to listen too or how to perceive all this. Here it is Christmas , our hours have been cut so much since 2017 when they hired that nim-wit to come in and reorg. all he did was mess up our lifes and destroy the company. We went from 62-64 hours a week to barely 40. Something wrong here with management, they hire pod drivers to work 2 days a week when they clearly dont have enough hours to do the rt drivers themselves. Ive never understood that. Safety Bonus? Do we still get those? lots of questions no answers!!!

Hostess had Twinkies and a number of brands people actually bought based on brand names. No one gives a sh– about Dairy Pure. In other words, Dean Foods ain't rising from the dead like Hostess did under a different company. Dean Foods just dead.

What's next? My guess would be closing announcements starting around January. Either Dean Foods initiating the closings due to no potential buyers for a location or the likely potential buyer not being interested in continuing with same business at a location.
As far as Dean Foods surviving this and coming out a smaller company- don't see it. Company looking to sell all assets. With all assets gone, what's left. If there is a Dean Foods, it will only be because another company bought the Dean Foods name and decided to use it themselves. Not likely because who wants to be associated with the name of a failed company with a terrible reputation.

A person should be able to live on 40 hours a week. if you depend on overtime for paying your bills not too smart. LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS !!
