Curious as to how everyone's stores are looking. For me at this point it's coming back to where it was before EDI, just with more steps involved. A lot of calls to customer care to remove stupid product lines from orders, and sometimes just outright canceling the EDI and writing my own. It's worked so far, and is basically needed since stores have stopped wanting to work with us on on-hands. EDI left unattended still wants to blow up the back room and leave the shelf empty. Really curious to hear if these reports about inappropriate WM ordering have been coming out because I highly doubt it.

Selling a product line that’s underperforming to refocus on your core items....great idea! Sounds a bit surfaced in conversation, I know some of the real importance as to what went into their decision and it was very calculated, as one would assume from a company the size of Kellogg.
Key point now is that their stock continues to rise, even after selling off their entire line of cookies. Of course I’m sure you know all the acquisitions that have also made, right? RX Bar which is more than quadrupled in sales, etc.
Getting over the expense of DSD and seeing the execution being done at store level as a warehouse item is impressive. Some hiccups at first, employees getting used to a new line. So what like watching a new employee at Mondelez working a new truck! They will get it, but it takes some time. Since Mondelez employees only focus on Mondelez they pick it up quicker, whereas store employees have a much bigger picture to focus on!
It’s coming.....watching Kellogg rebound has indeed been impressive!
Get ready!!!! Now Mondelez is behind the 8 ball!
So selling a brand line with sluggish performance because of their bad decisions means they are doing good? Hasn't the cereal fad already died a couple decades ago?
Hard to imagine people still deny DSD is ending! I don’t get what they are missing, you are spot on!
Since my Walmart had inventory, and adjusted their on hands, my EDI orders are actually pretty good now. So clearly our days are numbered. When you have an order, automatically coming in to a store, without any input from the sales rep, don't tell me our days aren't numbered. Why would they need us??? It's going to happen, the ONLY question is when?
Shareholders love making money! It’s an investment for them!! If there is a way to make more money, like exiting DSD, they will love that even more! Dig a little deeper!!
And Kellogg had a cookie line that wasn’t performing as they would like so they reacted! Their focus is on cereal and this is why they sold off their cookies! In the meanwhile, Keebler cookies sure seem to be getting a lot of exposure! End caps, power wings, flash sales!
Now look at Kellogg stock! Coming back! That’s great leadership! They have gained $20 a share, without cookies! Win win!
There is no “new DSD”! This is a transition to the end of DSD! People sure are gullible!
Get ready!
You would think that if exiting DSD was doing so well for Kellogg's they would not be selling off their brand lines? Huh
What matters in this conversation is the similarity in how things worked when Kellogg exited dsd with Keebler cookies and the remaining dsd items they maintained, such as crackers. The processes are exactly the same! Our time is coming, I’m glad I’m ready!
Ferrero and Nutella bought Keebler I believe. They wouldn't be under the Kellogg's stock price
Whats Keeblers stock ticker?
Kellogg's sold the Keebler brand line....
Some people are living in lala land, game over!
It won’t be your problem soon so who cares! WM will forgive it out, then sure have seemed to figure out Keebler product now! Keebler features galore. Funny too, everyone was saying how Keebler stock was tanking, and for a short while it did, but now it’s gaining again! Meanwhile, they have dumped so many things from their portfolio yet shared are valued higher, by a lot! Don’t look like they are struggling to me!
