What are y’all doing with your PTO hours if yal think we may have some layoffs in a couple months?? If we use them all early will they make us pay them back??

Why are you worried about PTO, once they file CH 7 we won't even receive our last check. We then become last in line of a long list of creditors. Anyone else notice that there are a few VP's whom filed as creditors during CH 11. They are definitely showing trust in the company.
They are a creditor. If they do not pay ADP why update?
My husband has been off...trying to use his holiday pay since November. They keep saying it's paid but never shows up in his adp... any suggestions.
Here's what I was told for the pet milk division
After chapter 11 was found the policy changed to wear whatever hours you accumulate if you don't use them you don't get it paid out. At this point they don't pay it out any further you have to use it. If you don't use it like going into 20/20 if you don't use whatever hours you accumulated at the end of 20/20 you don't get that money. Now I don't know if this is the way it is across the board with all the other divisions but before the chapter 11 they were allow you to just have it paid out at the end of the year it appears this is changed
If you earned pto and your plant closes good luck getting paid.you'll have to file a claim with bankruptcy court.layoffs won't happen.....it'll be a complete shutdown.
I know where I work we earn our hours each check so if you take all of it by say April and have only earned say a week and a half and they lay you off with no severence I would assume it would come out of the last check as last comment said and we are not union where I am
Some union facilities have contracts where the hourly earn PTO throughout the year so they may end up using before earned in which case the owed $ is pulled out of their last check. Also not all can take their PTO whenever they want as some have rules in place where only a certain number of people per department can take their PTO on the same day/shift.
Why would you have to pay PTO back? That's kind of a ridiculous question. It reset in January, and you can take it whenever you please.
