Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Next wave in February?

I heard third person next wave is February. I hadn’t heard anything about January. :/
I was a lift and shift, no offer letter or anything in writing. I was notified via phone, the week before thanksgiving, as I’m in a different location from my manager. I was told my title is changing but not my pay.

get out while you can! Another misguided hick outfit on the coattails of Jamie & Co. guising as a "doin' good for the community" type of bank. TOTAL JOKE - can't wait to see them fail and hope it happens soon.

Our dept at BBT was just told we are switching to a SunTrust system. A lot of what our dept does is outsourced by this system at SunTrust. We are non client facing as well.

My (BB&T) team and I received an org chart from our new Sun Trust manage in late October. I was given a management position and a team of 4-5, under my report. Great! After that....crickets. No job offer, no job description no discussion of comp changes....nothing. Just 4X the responsibility, 0X commitment. I resigned on January 3rd.
I didn't get a particularly good feeling that management have their collective act together. Very disappointed. I hope it works out better for everyone else.

It would be nice if they released all the cascade charts because we've seen lift and shift in IT but most haven't seen their names on a org chart and been told " welcome to truist" verbally. Nothing in writing. And even if it were in writing nothing set in stone anyways so not sure it would even matter.
