Class Action Lawsuit for Wrongful Termination or for Shaft in Benefits upon Forced Leave?

Is there an open, current class action lawsuit for wrongful termination. Or for getting a complete shaft job on benefits like severance, amount of severance, or loss of various benefits related to medical due?I ask as this is in the face of this obvious mass forced extinction that Randy, Stinky and the John's are pulling off at this time, which seems illegal in part or in whole.

@12Lex4AQ-1ppk You have to be asset management. They can’t fire you for doing your job. So you are saying we should be thankful that our work is being outsourced. Strategic business work that is just going to a cheaper worker in a poorer country. All I got to say is good luck to you and hope you enjoy att and all their generous actions.

It's two different things - just because something disadvantaged you, or is unethical to some, doesn't mean it's illegal.
I see people on this board saying this all the time.. att should be sued. Then get a lawyer and do it. Or are you waiting for someone else to do the work on that and then you can benefit on their efforts.

So you're complaining that instead of firing you outright, they lined up a new job for you with a different company, that is the exact same job you were dying before, and for the same pay? What is your lawsuit about? The service discounts?

You can consult a lawyer to find out for sure if you have legal grounds to sue. A consultation will probably cost over $100.

it'd be nice to know you can join a class action lawsuit to recover undue losses from that type of event.

Undue losses?! You get what was agreed to by your employment contract or state law. Nobody owes you anything more.

I'm not so much concerned about a surplus, its more about getting outsourced, that seems to be where the real shaft job occurs, and seems quite shady, it'd be nice to know you can join a class action lawsuit to recover undue losses from that type of event.

There is one for miscalculation of pension on the most recent buyout offer.

Don’t know about the other subjects. But I would not be surprised if there are more. It pays to be a lawyer for att.

These guys have legal in lock step with everything they do. Really nothing to sue about. You get released as part of a surplus, you will receive any benefits that are contained in the stated policy. Companies do this all the time, every day. Big problem is policy may vary per person based on original hiring company. There were lots of stuff in buyout agreements that impact employee's future, like all those who came from AT&T Wireless are not eligible for any retirement benefits like health care, only the pension funds they have acquired since the buyout.
