There is all this talk about commission going away, jobs being lost, and call centers going away. So any news on anything really happening though?

We are going to find out soon
It's not going away, the commission will be based on the DMs percentage of his total quota per location, say Big Log is 20 percent of his quota, and succasuna Is 25 percent of his quota, thus Succasunna s reps quota will be higher than Big Logs The quota will still be high unattainable, and unfair on the amount of volume the reps have to achieve. It's becoming a joke on what the company is compensating employees for growth and retention. They are saving so much on fair compensation on the work the front line employees achieve . They have made the important growth and retention metrics less important, thus it will hurt the company in the long term !
Non Comp is coming. It’s a customer focused model they’re going for. You will make hourly and if you don’t like it they can hire off the street. VZW will tell you nothing until they have to.
Let Feb start, and everyone will find out. It’s gonna b the same concept of Apple Store where they share a percentage of the total revenue generated. So all those Fat Cats from DOS until SM will enjoy those good checks, everyone will be just averaged out. This is what our market is talking about. For new hires, its only gonna be 18yr olds & why, we all know that in many dffrnt ways. More responsibilities will be added (Inventory, Cash, Opening & Closing)and SMs would just b doing Admin work & harass Reps still based on their fake a#% mid coaches, where as GM would b looking for calls & making sure they hit that bonus. Its always the frontline workers who are targeted, nobody else feels any pinch financially or in any other way. One main focus, on an individual level should be to extract & squeeze every single benefit while they’re still offering it, start looking at other opportunities bcz it will be A LOT MORE than a Toxic Work Environment very soon.
Leaderboard is going away.. commissions is here to stay for awhile... Expect the ridiculous numbers to continue.... The focus will move from detailed metrics like pull through to holding people accountable for making their commission numbers how many boxes and did you hit your bucket.
Nothing is being discussed right now which is why no rumors of substance are being posted on here. Leadership is focused on finishing Q4 strong.
A couple weeks into January, after leadership gets back from their winter vacation homes, job cutting conversations will pick up again.
This company lives and dies by the quarter and Q1 2020 I am sure they will get back to cost cutting.
The only news I got is that our systems are constantly breaking down. The network has gotten so much worse. Takes months to get tickets resolved from IT. Verizon used to be an amazing company to work for. We have done so much cutting of jobs I can really tell the quality of everything has gone down. Those who say, "if you don't like it then quite" should take a second look around because they might be the only ones standing around alone real soon. Companies that focus to maximize profit by short term cutting will suffer in the long run once there is nothing left to cut. This is what we get...nope...what we deserve for allowing a criminal to become CEO.
No because it appears 2.0 ment "we ain't telling you sh– anymore"
