I am 24 and I was hired by AT&T out of school for ~2 years. I see it as a place to learn (they are paying for my masters) and get experience. I am planning on leaving in a year or two and trying to get to FAANG type company with growth prospects. I have seen enough internal politics here to realize that it isn't a great long term place to work. Nobody in upper management has a growth mindset and the 5-10 SVPs I have had in the last few years are all focused on cutting costs even if that k–ls the company in the long term. None of my peers are planning on staying long term from what I can tell.
