I have decided, I am sick of hearing corporate bullc-ap about the greatness that we are only to hear that we are now in a layoff period. The worst of it all is that in a few week we will get email asking to help those less fortunate. People do not want handouts they want a job.
Therefore I have decided that I will not be reading any ATT propaganda nor attending the senior leadership meeting. I encourage everyone to follow suit.
They tell you we’re doing great due to our hard work. We’re paying off debt ahead of schedule and have enormous amounts of free cash flow so we’re going to look into a stock buy back.
Oh by the way, despite all of this, you know we need to lay you off.

I receive so much junk mail from these clowns I just delete it without even reading it.
I did the same thing, I would get a dozen or more automated newsletters and other non-actionable noise per day so I created a rule to round-file them. Then I missed the initial emails about being rebadged to IBM because the id–ts in charge used those same bulk sender accounts to send out the information.
Not attending a required meeting like that, is straight up stupid, and you will for sure be on the target list, why put your head on the chopping block if you're not ready to go, what a mo–n
I think these id–ts only exist to have these f—ing meetings. They look like douche bags selling time shares.

Kind of hard to attend that when I’m at work. Don’t know why they send that email to us, as if we can just drop what we do to stream some meeting in Texas. Unlike those shmucks at that meeting, we actually work during the day.

I do not take any kind of surveys. I've yet to see any case where a survey response has made a positive difference in my job or environment. Surveys either do one of two things. First, higher ups break their arms patting themselves on the back for good survey results. Second, senior managers are incapable of or unwilling to making the changes that are needed. So they "do something" so it is a check mark on their review and whatever they decide to do will make things worse for everyone else. Why give them any ammunition?
I'm in FBO on the deferred surplus, waiting to train my offshore Accenture replacement. This has greatly simplified my workday and my inbox. Townhalls... Delete. Employee Giving Campaign... Delete. TIP ideas... Delete. Volunteer opportunities... PAC donation requests... You get the idea.
I still respond to classifieds on the opportunity marketplace. That's my only extra.
