We’re all so stressed and anxious about what’s going to happen. The not knowing is beyond cruel. Why won’t managers speak to us?! Why won’t they even acknowledge the people that we’ve already lost. When will this be over??!!! They’re dragging it out so long we're going from “I hope I keep my job” to “I hope I get a package and can get away from the toxic place”!!!

Literally nothing is keeping you from leaving. If you're stressed: leave.
Working for an oil company (almost any of them) carries with it some unknown. Start adulting and realize this isn't the easiest gig in the workforce.

That is 100% not how you do business. What are you an HR rep. No one is working due to the anxiety and stress of not knowing right now. This is the most id–tic way to do things. However, it should be sign for everyone remaining to start looking considering how this company treats you. Even if you keep your job start looking for somewhere new.
Grow up. It’s called business
that's how they do it because they're cowards.
