Nepotism is alive and well! Sorry Standards of Business Conduct, you're ignored again!

In July, two employees were moved into Smart Array Storage. There were no openings, and no interviews. These employees came in to "help" two overworked employees, according to management.

It wasn't out of the question for an employee and spouse to work near each other but never under the same manager and rarely under the same second level manager (now called directors because it sounds so much more powerful.) Every attempt is made to keep them far apart.

Obviously people working together can start a relationship and get married. Making one quit isn't the right answer. I have seen people moved to new managers. It's a fair decision. That's not nepotism.

Ask some pre-merger CPQ people how this worked. Very common. Spouse hired by a contractor and then didn't work at all. Zero. Squat. Nada.

LOL! I have been watching this for years. Husband/Wife on same team; one in management and one in engineering. Miraculously, the one in engineering always gets the plum jobs. Just par for the HP course.
