It seems that unless you’re already in a management role, Humana doesn’t provide
many advancement opportunities for the average associate. Also, they make it nearly impossible to transition to other roles due to unattainable requirements. There are many associates who would excel in a new role, but are not even given the opportunity to interview because they may not trained on a specific platform. You may meet 8 out of the 10 requirements for a position, but unless you meet 10 out of 10, then you’re automatically eliminated from being granted an interview. It is especially frustrating when your position is being phased out, and you have no choice but to look outside of the company for another job in spite of there being openings at Humana. After 9 years of tenure with a lack of advancement, maybe the impending layoff will be actually be a good thing for my career in the long run. Good luck to those affected.

Yes. This is so true. I’m told I’m a top performer on my team yet can’t get a transfer after many tries.
