Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

China?

Heard a rumor that due to China banning corporate VPN connections between their China offices and out-of-country offices ( https://www.chinalawblog.com/2019/09/chinas-new-cybersecurity-program-no-place-to-hide.html ) that Oracle is pulling all development & sustaining out of the country so it won’t have to expose source code to the Chinese government and government affiliated companies. Any one else heard about this?

They started pulling out of China about 2 years ago. The decision was to refocus in Romania, India and the US. China became too problematic.

I mean, I think they will do it. It's just a matter of time. They did close CDC and layed off like 1600 hardworking chinese people? SC bows to the US government to try and woo them to buy stuff from them.

There was a post on here a while back saying that Oracle was closing down in China. But, it's hard to tell what's for real and what isn't.
