I heard the same thing from a friend in senior management. The next round will be in the Spring of next year. The big layoffs are done...just deadwood from here on out.

Agreed. There are strategic layoffs, and then there are operational layoffs. Current planning appears to be confined to the second option, based upon the Burlington session.
Anyone who has been around for more than two years knows that December first is when Oracle gets its Scrooge on, and drops a number of low performers to clear the books for the next calendar year. If your worried, don't spend too much at Christmas.
