Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Too funny. Op-Ed: Humana study reveals $265 billion wasted on health care each year in the US

Are they reporting on themselves?? Humana was recently a party to a multi million dollar lawsuit settlement involving medicare billing fraud and upcoding. Are they trying to make us laugh? Humana OP-Ed states: "Rising health-care costs are a reality and cause stress for many people. If we are to successfully confront the issues of cost and efficiency in care, we first need to fully understand the systemic problem of wasteful spending." Maybe, if Humana exited the health insurance business completely the US would save 265 billion a year.

Humana are interested in how they are being billed for wasteful services. We all know what they are, the unnecessary tests and examinations, over prescribed medication and therapy. As far as upcoding and fraudulent billing anyone caught should end up in jail.
