Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Auto-generated schedules are the fastest way to demoralize your staff

System automated schedules are horrible. They remove all humanity from the system. No matter how much you try to play with the parameters to auto generate a schedule, they are always terrible.

I work for a retailer that is trying to get us to do this. It scheduled departments over their budget, scheduled people on days they had paid time off approved for, scheduled some people at min hours and other at max, and had some people opening all week and others closing all week when they both had open availability. Auto generated schedules are the fastest way to demoralize your staff.

Lowes does not consider its employees to be human. Why do you think they did away with the HUMAN Resources Department? They don't care that someone has another job or other commitments than Lowes. You can still work 6 short shifts rather than 4 longer ones even though it only allows you 4 hours of sleep for those 6 days! Employee health? Oh yeah, I'm NOT human, only a robot! Lowes employees need a UNION! Down with computerized scheduling!

What do you think is going to happen once everyone who knows any thing is gone and replaced to know nothing do nothings?

Then bottom will drop out of Lowe’s and you will see a rapid decline in the value of the stock.

Get out now while you still can,
