Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Marvin: Bargain Basement CEO picked off the JCPenney clearance rack.

Is it any wonder why this company is in such disarray? Buddy has no concept of anything, and will continue his chaotic nonsense, all at about 1/3 the price of Niblock. Sad times at Blowes.

I'm glad to retire on SS soon. Wages and hours are dropping. They post jobs then layoff. The set backs from corporate are changing us into a workforce we left behind (pre 1970). We used Labor Laws to improve our workplace conditions. Now, we have to fight to use the Laws in the workplace. We have a female who follows employees into the bathroom, break room or sends a male manager to do the same. If you need or have a problem that requires the visits to a restroom, you will get wrote up. As to the points system. Really, medical is a point against you. Nice a point can be used for three days of medical leave. 10 points and you will not have a job. So, 30 day leave and your looking for work. Don't plan on any surgeries and God forbid an accident. Work day schedule, we no longer have a corporate weekend every 4 weeks. It will be 6 - 8 weeks as the computer program says. Now as to the kronus, managers will have to approve all adjustments to keep you under 40 hours. We are now at 39 hours per week, some are not to go over that. Even when the schedule does. I have never felt so hated by a company as this one. Your Management needs to understand the Labor Laws. Instead of how to bend them.

i keep seeing on here or facebook that marvin is paid cheaply or was a bargain.....lol.....in 2018 he worked for lowes about 8 months and made 14.3 million! i keep seeing people claim he made just over a million because they only quote base salary and dont take into account all the perks, stock options etc. etc. hes heavily paid in stock so that he will do the bidding of the activist shareholders and board of directors that are also heavily paid in stock options. most executives are now paid this way and then engage in heavy insider trading to personally enrich themselves.

The only time anyone at corporate adds to sales is when they buy something at a Lowe’s and forget their discount card.

Leave JCPenney out of this. We were fooled you Marvin too. He tried to make us in to Sears by bring back appliance. We we’re all wondering when we’d be wearing aprons. Sorry you guys got stuck with him a his cronies. They all are useless except at providing threats and fear.

Welcome to big box/corporate retail. Unless you’ve got a cushy home office position or a do-nothing area merch manager job, you will always be expected to beat last years results.
