SIPP question

For those bargained non management workers who put in for SIPP and your request was accepted, how long did HR give you till your off payroll date?

1kqq Not sure what the hold up was. I waited 2 or 3 days for feedback. In their defense we were in a bit of a management change. There wasn’t a surplus situation at the time so maybe it wasn’t time sensitive.

Not understanding the “when my boss got around” part. Have had people take this route before. Unless there is no possible way to contact someone you get the paperwork in ASAP if a offer is made.

@11pWmAXC-1eda. I was on the list for 4 months. When they made the decision to let me go I was given 48 hours to decide and after my boss got around to submitting the paperwork I was given 2 weeks. I spent most of that driving around saying goodbye to friends at various offices.

2 weeks. I was paid my regular check plus the unused vacation plus the VSP on one check. Taxes were high but I got some back at tax time. Happy to be retired.
