It's true. Employees are offered a few months pay based on seniority to leave on their own. Most the dead weight I know with over 40 years service intend to sit around going through the motions and leaving early instead of the company cutting the fat to make business sense
Why don’t you pick up the phone and call the union hall?
Just check the surplus list. One comes out every quarter. Should be on your local’s website.
