Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

OHD and SCO

What to make of the move of SCO under AA (OHD VP) ....seems like the big boss isn’t happy with cost and speed, or it could be a sign of things to come (reconstitute the old SUN under a single group). What gives ??

Consider that OCI is stupidly near single-source for their entire hardware base any perceived synergy with owning your own hardware company is tenuous at best.

SCO are after having a huge reorg so everything is now complete. There were no layoffs and there will be none in fore seeable future.

New leader. New ideas of how to get the business done. New structure. New round of layoffs.

On-prem hardware is dying and cloud is hardly growing. Why would anyone even think that this move would be a change for the better?
