Has anyone been reporting the new plan to the media? I can’t believe that something we earned and we’re given at time of hire can just be taken legally or ethically
Report the story to your local news desk and let them do some digging

Possibly losing "Vacation " going forward next year to match company wide as CA is allowable by law... Still waiting to see how all plays out. Ugh sad the direction BEC... SEA HAS CHANGED.
Why is going to the media laughable? I think is a good idea. Nobody laughed (except SW employees) when Disney's granddaughter visited their park and was saddened by the way the employees were treated. That got the media's attention

The new vacation plan has not been announced and last we heard on Orlando, no plans have been finalized (as of last week).
It’s not brown nosing, just pointing out that saying “gO tO tHe MeDiA” sounds incredibly dumb. Yeah this company is a sinking ship. We’ve known this for some time, and this topic has been discussed ad nauseam. It’s also wrong in that nobody is losing vacation... except maybe salaried ambs. Good luck being able to take all that time off you used to be entitled to.
It is true that they can change their vacation policy, but it is federal law that once it has been accrued (by an employee) it can not be taken.
I know that they changed everyone's accrual date to January first. Does that mean that on January 1st 2019 we started accruing our vacation for 2020? ...or do we accrue our vacation for 2020 on January 1st 2020?
It hasn't officially been announced but its been leaked basically to us.
Has the new vacation plan been announced?
Ah we found the brown noser...
1 - We are still waiting for the official announcement in which the company leadership apparently is afraid of.
2- We may not be entitled to them but its a bad look for a company who continues to do layoffs, outsources call centers, and now keeps cutting benefits for people who have been loyal to the company for no other reason than to save money
3- Yes we will do that and some will. Tbag doesnt invalidate point 2 and its not as simple for everyone to just go find a job when a lot of spots in this company end up extremely specialized in what they do and may not translate to another job easy or at all.
Please take your brown nosing elsewhere or use a real name if you want credit from the board in defending this.
Thank you corporate for your thoughts. Insert sarcastic sigh here
1) I might be mistaken, but wasn’t the only change for hourly was that vacation accrues monthly?
2) You aren’t entitled to ‘benefits’. Legally they can’t be taken away mid year, but next year you can be given less.
3) You also have the freedom to go work elsewhere at a place that offers more competitive benefits to your liking.
Going to the media with something like this is laughable. Every company is different. Seaworld s—s, but they’re in their right to change stuff like this if they feel the need, just like you’re able to go get another job if you so choose.
