Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

The store turnover is the highest it has ever been

I agree the man is driving us into the ground. The store turnover is the highest it has ever been, and it is because of intimidation tactics that began hard and fast this January. They want the highest-paid employees to quit and are using some pretty nasty tactics to make sure it happens. These tenured employees will sell back their Lowe's stock from their 401Ks, which Marvin wants. And they will be replaced with cheap part time (no more full time!) employees with limited knowledge who are encouraged NOT to care about the customer, only the sale in front of them right now.

With all the knowledgeable employees gone the part-timers will be learning everything from scratch, giving bad customer service or maybe no customer service at all. The computer system is so convoluted they will be lucky if they learn anything at all. They will quit every six months because of the same policy of fear and mismanagement. And all this so the stock can bounce a bit more for a few months, make someone a bunch of money, and then Lowe's can take its nosedive down to be just another failed company.

I quit 2 weeks ago after nearly 16yrs as a flooring specialist. Had enough of the Lowe’s b—s—. It’s a real shame cause I really liked working there. I brought a lot to Lowe’s being that I had 15 years of flooring experience before Lowe’s. I took care of customers at Lowe’s like I wanted to be treated. Left because although I cared I come to realize Lowe’s doesn’t. Good luck and good riddance.

If you are at all concerned about your job or future at Lowe’s do not waste time worrying; update your resume and start looking now! There are better jobs out there! If you have a family; a spouse, children do it for them. Lowe’s has shown that they only care about the dollar. Marvin should sign off his podcast by saying “god bless the almighty dollar”

Marvin is a fake and a fraud; he says one thing and does the opposite.

Doesn't help when you have no job security and are constantly worried about changes.

I'm an appliance specialist worried about the rumors coming soon. Hope they aren't true but I'm not feeling good about it.

Our store is hiring pro specialists at $21.50 with zero Lowe's experience, or construction, sales, and computer experience. They are making more than the very experienced, tenured pro specialists that have worked their way up to that position and then expected to train these newbies. What a slap in the yambag!!!

Lowe's does love their tax breaks...ours is pitching in by hiring felons as fast as they can. We have one shining example selling d–gs in the parking lot. At least they're making it easier on junkies without cars...now they can shoplift and do their exchange right on site....what a time saver. Lowe's may be too big for even ol Carvin Marvin to k–l (he's trying his best) but at the very least I want to stick around long enough to see my store fail even more and close. I want to watch it crumble one dollar at a time.
