Benefits are good only when you are actually EMPLOYED! With execs that would just as soon toss you and tie their own shoes, you can double the benefits, but so what? They are short-term.
Add to that (for you folks not yet laid off): your health care TERMINATES THE DAY YOU ARE GIVEN THE BOOT!! You limp along in limbo waiting for your "package" to arrive, to sign off your right to sue them, and in arrears, you will find they pay for 30 days of health care. Again - ONLY once you sign off.

So as if the stress of a lay-off isn't enough, they put you through purgatory (or hell, depending on how critical your health care is for you) as you just HOPE they make good on their "promise" that they will keep you covered.

So keep that in mind as you continue to dedicate yourself to these unethical, greedy id–ts.

In the US, Oracle has good healthcare benegfits compared to other companies, but beyond that its benefits package is just average for Corporate America. No pensions or sabbaticals. Stock awards and bonuses are only given to a minority.

Pension plan? Not in the USA. Yes there is a 401K. Hardly any place in the US gives pensions anymore.
Retiree Health? Not in the USA. You get medicare when you are 65 and that has nothing to do with Oracle.

That said, I don't work at Oracle anymore, but I did for a long time and thought the benefits were good when I was there, on par with what most US companies offer in the US, although I was p-ss-d off about being forced to use my vacation during the "Winter Break". But they aren't the only big company doing that these days, either.

Is this a joke? These are all standard benefits any respectable company would provide. Oh yes, they sure do make up for NO RAISE to keep up with the rising cost of living that happens every year. Oh, health care goes up every year too. Wow, feels great to make less and get less every year.

Where did “erosion of professional skills, capabilities and the respect of fellow professionals go”? Didn’t see any compensation for loss of marketability on the list

Pension? Who gets a pension?

Sabbatical? Ha! That’s just volunteering to get laid off

Bonuses? Not like they used to

Pet friendly workplaces??!! Where??

Dont even get me started on performance raises.

It doesn’t mean sh–e if the product s—s and your customers hate you. Plenty of companies offer similar bennies.

The problem with Oracle are not the benefits it offers, the problem is that it USED to be a better place to work.
Rewind a couple of years and people were happier at the company. Yes there were problems, like not getting raises ever but the workload and environment compensated that for the most part. But now everybody is scared to death of being backstabbed by a coworker trying to climb the ladder of success or a manager trying to save his own a–.
