Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Internal Petition to Depose of CEO

This has been done... but some people would be fired in the process. Can y’all at least have an intervention with this guy?

He could make a huge cost reduction by taking a salary commensurate to similar sized companies. He’s not all in, why should any of you be?

This company exists to support the board and exorbitant exec pay. The shareholder means nothing.

It’s time for DL to feel the financial pain instead of the people doing the day to day and who have hung on. He shouldn’t be rewarded each year and lay-off with the dropping stock price. Shareholder value. Please - if he believed that he would fire himself.

Sure - he’s a “nice guy” with good intentions but no vision and hindsight being 20/20 should never been hired. It’s the employees, shareholders and OKC that have suffered while DL has been at the helm.

Here’s hopelessly hoping to for a buyout.

I guess you forgot that they did drop the debt by 50%. We used to owe $20billion, that was more Nick then DL. No one thought we could pay it back so they sold the notes for 50% off. We borrowed more money to buy back our debt. Expect to see that again. But now the concern is our revolver. If we loose that we loose it all.

The good part is we only have $8Million cash on hand. That's not bankruptcy money.

Of course gas prices are low and oil is on shaky ground at times, but management has to take most of the responsibility for this decline. And you can’t keep blaming Aubrey. D took over this company and we have not seen positive results. With all of these sales and layoffs we should at least driven down the debt 50%. Until that happens, stock will never be higher than $2.50. Facts

We could cut DL and his 40 VPs to say $100 million. We could then pay back the debt over the course of a century if our debt holders would just cut the interest rate to 0%.

Best plan so far... currently management doesn't have a plan to get us out.

It’s more about what his huge salary says to his employees and Wall Street, TBH. It’s wild.

Besides, just for fun, cut his total comp in half... how necessary worker bees does that allow CHK to keep? Simple math. All those guys are overpaid, but compensation is a mole hole issue compared to the mountain range of just how financially strapped this bleeding pig is.

Ha everybody thinks this is DL fault... Dave Ramsey couldn't fix this company. Firing DL or getting him to take a pay cut is only a drop in the bucket.
