Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Close to just giving up!

I don’t know what to do anymore. Had truck today worked 12 hours even though I was only scheduled for 8. Meanwhile seasonal is sitting there empty and we need to get Christmas set by Monday?!?! Also, half of the truck is still sitting in the backroom. Opening tomorrow and will be all by my lonesome until 11am. I am so burnt out I can barley walk or keep my eyes open. My wife is about ready to divorce me because I am barely ever home. My kids asked my mom the other day if I sleep at work since most nights they are already asleep when I come home. One is 5 and the other is 3. Can someone shoot me already and please take me out of this nightmare! Right now only thing I got going is about 700 carepass enrollments ytd. Mind you about 500 is just from my main cashier who is k–lin it! And she just put in her 2 weeks today. So FML!!

CVS will work you into the ground. Regional manager, DM and LP were devoid of any moral compass.Got out from a SM position and haven’t looked back. Just feel badly for those afraid to leave and move on...

CVS is moving away from FS. Less than 5% of the overall business now. Don’t think they care about struggles of front managers so much as pharmacist

The biggest problem with CVS is most of the DMs now are Pharmacist who never had to run a store..they have never had to unload a truck at 2am in the snow, they have never had to actually do the cos wall reset, never had to put up a truck in a day, never done any of the task that FE managers are required to do...this gives them no perspective which leads to a lack of empathy..sales have declined since the pharmacist have taken over FE DM slots because none of them have a clue

CVS won’t be there for you on your deathbed, a wife and family will be. Take care of yourself and your family. Do your best, and if that’s not good enough find some place where it will be.

I understand the need to work to provide for the family and pay the bills, but don’t neglect your family at the expense of a company that doesn’t care about you.

And if you don’t need help then you shouldn’t have to work a 12 hour shift.

I don't know how anyone can work retail - especially around the holidays.

Umm problem is I don’t need any extra help. If anything my employees are complaining that they are not getting enough hours. My demand has drastically gone down these last 2 months. And I don’t even have ACO.

Actually I usually feel just like u about now , but we pushed all Halloween to front on table, floor stacks and buggies 3-4 days ago , set xmas by 10/31 - got a truck thurs
698 pieces , I'm min hours minus 10
Half my truck is still in back room after 2 days but I don't care xmas is set - all this to say - I knew it was gonna be a b this year so I tried something different - and it kept me from feeling so bad this year - hang in there - open a rec , interview 2 and hire quick as u can so it won't get worse!!!!

We all have a family & a life. Don’t k–l yourself for CVS, they don’t give a c-ap about you. Do what you can & go home when you’re scheduled to. Things aren’t going to get any better unfortunately.

Corporate doesn't care about it's employees. They only care that the store is open, no matter what it takes to do that.
