My prediction—Specialist position will go away, then six months later they will resurrect it under a new name. That’s what the company has done with all of the other positions they’ve eliminated. You see, the work still has to be done and they know it, but this is a way to cull out all the high wage people and give the same job responsibilities to a college kid or part/timer that will do the same thing for peanuts. It’s really pretty simple....
Here they will tell us to put the sidestack literally right in front of the home location. To the point of BLOCKING the home location so we can 'cross-merchandise' the same exact product.
It must be the following Monday. 11/11/19 a day that will live in infamy.
How many sidestacks that I can break down and put up in top-stock can they send us? I never realized how much the managers disliked sidestacks and how indifferent they were to the whole idea of having a sidestack for items already very prominently displayed.

Funny....this was said about HR and LPs too, let's ask them how it went. They don't want specialist, they want cheap. I've already been told by my manager to dust off my resume...and the dic* smiled telling me this.

It will be about merchandising for the upcoming holiday season; how many cardboard displays and poorly made (from cull lumber at my store) LEGO colored tool displays can we stuff into the front aisle to make the store look really junky and difficult to move power equipment around.
After all the holidays are really about making Marvin and friends richer off the backs of hard working associates pushed to the breaking point.

I do not think they are going to get rid of any specialist I think it will be about rtm rtm job is gone that has already been confirmed by Marvin. They will be out on the sales floor they are not going to get rid of sales people they need them to close the deals I think it will be more about back end process that's my food for thought. I think the only way they will get rid of a specialist is if they are not hitting their numbers on a consistent basis
That is a really clever. Layoff under performers and stress current specialists to the point of breaking. This is a war of attrition.
It is just a meeting to discuss the merchandising of tiny gloves for winter for our Hispanic pro customers.
Maybe the specialist layoffs will coincide with the pro quotas to scare the rest of the herd...
