- . . get to sit on pins & needles for another few weeks.
That's great - now get out there and close some more CU units! We need everyone on campus! Sell! Sell! Sell!
My bet is the week of 11/18 . . .

there are so many company’s that need the experienced sales reps that currently work for Cengage, and those companies operate in growing stable industries, unlike the educational materials market, have the confidence and guts to MOVE ON and get out while you can, even if you survive these cuts and this merger, the pressure and restructured oversized territories will make your life MISERABLE :((
Goal? Bonus? Honey, you are going to be eating dog food by Christmas. Keep wishing.
Will we still get our bonus if we hit goal? Anyone know? Thanks!
Ha! If there's any way to motivate sales people, it's to tell them that there is a one-in-four chance they will soon lose their jobs, a 99% chance they will earn no bonus this year, and a 100% chance that this uncertainty will continue as the company moves into a possible merger situation . . . and THEN let everyone sit and stew over the news for several weeks! Leave it to Cengage . . .
They definitely are waiting until the end of the sales season before laying off sales people. This is from an inside source.
Sales is always the last to go.
