We have been given notice that it's over. The last 3 days have been awful and many, many talented, good people have been notified. The ones that I am aware of were not associates picked here or there out of various departments, but were whole work areas where they found opportunity to outsource cheaper (this doesnt necessarily mean offshore...they could be in the US). Honestly, this happens most years as they restructure...as regulation and ACA affect more and more profitability, they find more ways to cut. New HIF taxes alone in 2020 will cost Humana 1 Billion...this was totally anticipated you just hope and pray it's not you. With an obligation to shareholders they are going to find ways to go cheaper....that is any business, anywhere, like it or not. I feel so bad for our friends and colleagues.

Your head is in the sand if you think it is over. 2020 will be another reorganization, merging and job elimination year.
Ship. Sinking. Run.
It is really quite simple. The big rats want the best bits and will send others off to get it.
If your survival instinct is kicking in, there is a reason for it.
They layoff, then hire a bunch of new people for the departments just fired. I will never understand. If you're considering working here, don't.
Agreed more layoffs are coming. They do every year. Also agreed no one is safe...there is always someone willing to do something cheaper. The tighter the squeeze, the deeper they look for cut solutions.
I don’t think the staff lay offs are over by any means. I have a feeling that more outsourcing will be done in 2020. I don’t think anyone is safe.
Haha, sure thing buddy. Fyi, your troll reply to anything on this site that isnt an emotional attack has become predictable. 👍
Thanks for the update HR
