HR guy on phone and leader in the room. HR GUY ON THE PHONE and leader disagreed on Every. Single. Point.

Your leader will give you a letter. No, it will b sent to you.

Sign it now. No, don’t sign it until December 31.

You are released. You no longer work here. No, you still have to work.

This was decided recently. No! The VP decided to rif your position months ago

You can use company assets to look for a job. No, you must turn in company phones and laptops.

Turn in your ID and credit card immediately. No keep it until you come in this weekend and get your personal items

And on. And on. And on.

Dang, you would think they would be better at this by now. Laughable if it weren't devastating to so many

As an earlier post stated, read the packet, follow the info there. The severance received, trusting it will be there for y'all as well, was worth the wait till the 'last' official day. ..for me anyway. I was out in the first RIF and can say I am better for leaving H....thrilled and grateful in fact.

Please remember ( I know some may sound silly and ridiculous– so be it) :
*Their cruelty and incompetence is NOT a reflection of who you are.
*You get to decide your future

Change and new is a blessing

*H likes to think it is the end/be all... it isn't. This will prove it.

H also focuses on ONE thing– $$ – though heaven forbid if we ever said it aloud. We were cogs.

I'm so sorry this is happening to so many people. I am devastated, anxious, worried and looking. My area was hit in a really messed up way. We lost amazing leaders Wo dedicated 10+ years of employment. It is really nerve wrecking and unfortunately you are also dealing with the humana way of communicating. Typical of them to not have their ducks in a row to provide a concrete message or directions

So sorry! Your packet will come tomorrow. Read it! Follow HRs guidance!!! It happened to me after 20+ years last year..The job market is strong now- build your network, and get in linkedin asap!

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’d wait until you receive your packet of information. Everything will be in writing. I was impacted also but our meeting was pretty straight-forward.
