For those who have already heard, I’m sorry....can you say what department you are with and if the layoffs were announced to all? I was under the impression it’s going on until Thursday, but is that just to reach those that are not told today?

I came to work for HUMANA in 1990. It was my first real job. Was laid off after 28 years of service. After 28 years of hard back breaking work. Still haven’t found any work.
AIP will be paid out in March. 60 plus day notice period followed by severance of two weeks per year of service with a four week minimum and 52 week max. Full benefits through notice and severance period. Employment assistance will be provided. God bless all of those affected.
Humana brags about caring it’s associate, but in reality you are a #, which can be always replaced. They are choosing perfect time, so that, they don’t have to pay year end bonus (AIP). Corporate should have a reality check, they are increasing profit quarter over quarter and then fire people during holidays. In reality, at Humana, it doesn’t matter how much you work, if your boss didn’t like you, you are out during this time. A$$lickers will be on benefit side.
Some teams are being told the reasoning is due to the ACA fine, yet now per a press release it’s just business alignment? And there are not 2000 open positions to apply for.
It really depends on if your senior leaders and HR had time to meet with your teams. They have lied and said keep taking on more. Keep helping other teams! In the end it didn’t mean a thing. They still treat everyone like a piece of sh–!
