Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

No JEDI for O

Looks like S.C. being besties with DJT didn’t help O with the deal, which went to MSFT. Another day another loss for big red.

  • 9goj are they nuts??? Microsoft winning was their best outcome. Now if the pi$$ off Microsoft they are gonna get a lot less love from their cloud partner. Like zip.

Do those stooges think they can get a JEDI set aside for cloud2.0 database? Dream on. They are just showing the feds that once again, get rid of Oracle if you can is the best move. Sorry database people this is not good news.

Bezos and theczpost are after SC btw for selling over a billion dollars of stock in buybacks including hundreds of millions AFTER saying the stock was a good buy at the price. SEC time once again.

I don't think DJT has time to help out and Little Marco might not unless he gets more contributions.

O didn't won by proxy with MSFT being awarded the contract. In fact they're still whining about it. https://www.fedscoop.com/oracle-jedi-protest-continues/

Did you read the article? Oracle isn't guaranteed anything. There is plenty of speculation but there is nothing there that suggests that Oracle is guaranteed to be used. I wouldn't "woot woot" just yet.

Every post suggesting this is a positive for O gets downvoted (or deleted). But cheer up, somebody in O still has brain cells to have done the Microsoft deal and there will be fewer laid off. And I am not HR.

@11KBW3R7-2zte "Run YOUR Oracle database and enterprise applications on Azure and Oracle Cloud" Again, THIS doesn't mean that MSFT will use O's technology for JEDI. Get a life HR.

@11KBW3R7-uxo Being "partners" with MSFT doesn't automatically mean they will use any of O software at all

But we are cloud partners with Microsoft so the JEDI users will use the database. Better than a stick in the eye. This worked out.
