Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Content gets stale very quickly

No one sees this Management Cast delivering new valuable content. In fact they have set the tone that creative talent is fleeing as quickly as they can. ATT tries to dictate what the customer will receive while other companies are delivering what the customer wants.

As stale as C-suite and the board. Same players with the same results. We’ve seen this movie rerun before, surplus, offshore and rebadge. Rinse & repeat until the 1% are left with the indentured sold to the lowest bidder.

Swipes, gps, cameras, key-logging, taking pictures, morning & afternoon calls are all ways to keep you in the electronic indentured system. They don’t trust you! Meanwhile the elite run amok and when they mess up are rewarded with a golden parachute. Globalization is great, umm .. for the elite. Now get back to your Collaboration Zone employee bean, we will tell you when & where you go next.

The value of that library is depreciating rapidly. Need to have new coming in to fill the decline of the old. Can this leadership cultivate and maintain a creative culture that pumps out hit content that consumers will pay for? HBO from it's inception to 2019 was a solid yes but they were doing it all wrong. That is what should scare everyone. Management having a vision of mass produced chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. You won't get the next GOT or Sopranos that way.

Thanks for playing Stankey but we're wise to you. Netflix was built on making movies available to watch at home as soon as they were out of the theaters. Yeah, they had long tail stuff but they got their edge over blockbuster by being more convenient and having a business model that didn't charge late fees.

"content gets stale"

uh huh. the entire purchase of warner was predicated on the value of a large content library.

Netflix was built on a long tail content library. Them not actually OWNING that content is what is forcing them to spend themselves into oblivious trying to create good content.

keep pounding on that keyboard trying to find 20 negative things to post on this forum each day.
this one is a miss.

Even if you comply you will still be laid off or outright sold.

Sesame Street will save them. Randy will play Big Bird and the Stank will play Oscar the Grouch.

As seen in the C-suite top down micro-management style for employees. Comply or we will lay-off, outsource or rebadge you. It’s mirrored in we will outright sale or sale then lease back our assets. It becomes harder to manage your business.

In-house bad, renting good because the new owners would never go up on our agreements after they expire or unforeseen added fees. It’s the proverbial kick the can down the road mentality. The thought, I will be gone when the consequences are due.

A C-suite Jingle - We are sooo smart, we are sooo smart. We are “Smrtr” than you! We are “Smrtr” than you!
