Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

12/20 Deadline re-hire question

For those of us Assistant Managers choosing to stay in one of the new roles they created - are you worried how long the process will take and if they will get it done in time by the 12/20 deadline so we don’t loose our seniority?

Are you all interviewing with just branch managers or district managers?

So I been through the first layoff as an operational specialist. I had one month severance in which I toke that whole month off applying for other banks and also within US Bank. I got hired as an BAM with US Bank with a manager I knew who just lost her BAM. My hire day was exactly the same day my severance ended so I didnt lose my time of years of service. So depending on when your severance ends you can literally think of that as a long paid vacation. Also put in mind you can collect unemployment the same time as your severance pay. So you will get paid more then if you were working. Unemployment tends to pay 1800 a month but it does depend on if your a full time employee how much you get. Some people have a bridge clause if they were with the bank for a very long time in which they can extend there severance longer if they don't find work.

We wont lose our hire date. Nor will we lose pay. It will be lateral if we are already an ABM. For myself personally it's the same job as I do now being an ABM.

Yea worries about doing same and more work for less pay and no seniority.
Worried that I’ll hate the new position and be out of my severance
