Now that I am gone. I love posting all the c-ap I dealt with in the store. How bad the SM was. Hides in office paging overhead about code 3's that we obviously heard. This new management style is horrible for holding people accountable..
I don’t care what they do. I’ll flat out say it. Marvin was selected because he was a different crayon in the box. He is not competent or effective. He will not last as ceo.
Marvin is completely out of touch.
People can be fired for wearing green socks. If you aren't part of a union or under a contract and you live in the US you have zero job security. That's true whether you love leadership or hate them.
I'm leaving soon.Six years with Lowe's over 20 years in retail. I have a target on my back.I am sick and had a call from sedwick that made me feel like I was a crook for putting in for an accommodation for a chair when needed.She was all over me until I said I have heart surgery scheduled and a disability claim in and many I should seek legal advice.She suddenly became nice and understanding. B's is being done to us.Let them change.It is not the customer service Lowe's I have known as an employee or as a shopper in the past.I can't wait to leave.
Anyone catch Marvin’s comments on morale on his latest town hall meeting podcast?
He thinks that it’s a few associates and one store that are the basis for the article. He also thinks that there are 310,000 associates still working for Lowe’s. Based on the head count at my store I’d say his number is too high; probably 50k to 75k too high.
Also humorous are the “Lowe’s mom” announcements promoting Lowe’s as an employer; training and advancement are mentioned. Aside from the mandated unconscious bias and active shooter training I’ve done no training.

I'll have to disagree slightly with Bob. There does seem to be more reporting, not necessarily negative, but it is going "behind the curtain" so to speak.
A good example, I think, is Aine Cain at Business Insider.

We have seen in history what happens when others blindly follow and aren’t allowed to criticize.
Three associates at my store were verbally reprimanded for “making fun of leadership” basically they were laughing about wasting money on new name tags when there was nothing wrong with the current ones.
As it turns out we were sent the wrong ones, ours had Lowe’s at the bottom the correct ones just just a blue border. There is so much waste at Lowe’s.

Im a long term associate leaving next week. This place has become intolerable. Marvin is the worst....he makes Bob Nardellis stint at Depot look good.

I have noticed the pace of negative press in the business pages is picking up.
Or maybe it’s because they aren’t good at their jobs? The ridiculousness of people on here is astounding sometimes.
