Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Generation shift

I write this for our peers in the retail world. You are valued. Your contribution to connecting and growing our relationship with our customers has built the foundation for U.S. Bank to succeed. Consumer behaviors have shifted and it makes sense to follow that shift to digital. If U.S. Bank did not make changes now we would be slow to the trend and be hit with operating cost for resources our consumers are not utilizing.

While no one seems to love a bank I like and really appreciate all the employees at the various US Bank branches that I visit.

There is no way that I can do all my banking on line, nor do I trust the really important things to be done without some accountable human telling me that the non-routine stuff I'm doing is being done correctly.

I hope those who have been loyal are rewarded with an ongoing job, even if it is a bit different from what they are used to.
