USBANK OCTOBER 21 2019 POSSIBLE LAYOFF'S ?
Anyone have any info
IT is being completely, 100%, outsourced by August 2020, and they're wanting to push the help desk agents into non-IT positions in 24 hr banking. absolutely terrible.
USBank gave the boot to employees across several business lines today. Not a fun day. I found it extremely unethical to let alot of employees go on the same phone call at the same time. No questions were allowed to be asked. You will receive your severence info in you16r email..Sad.
US Bank Begins Staffing Overhaul at Branches With Unspecified Number of Job Cuts http://m.startribune.com/u-s-bank-begins-staffing-overhaul-at-branches-with-unspecified-number-of-job-cuts/563584152/?fbclid=IwAR2m2WM5-ZAKBbIhncFOcLxZvIQepG1xGeooqasv0bcgWw3lpzOTTmbqyas
They're laying off all teller coordinators, assistant managers, and full-time tellers. My daughter, who was a teller-coordinator, got her layoff group conference call today.
I was told this was TC and Assistant Mgr only is full time tellers getting hours but back too?
We can complain or spend our money where its worth it or in this case bank with whom is worth it locally. just saying
The traffic inside the brick and mortar‘s has slowed down tremendously
True. Many branches will close over next 2 to 4 years. I'd say 50% of them. You've been warned...
Do you really blame them? The traffic inside the brick and mortar‘s has slowed down tremendously. Branch managers are going to have to figure it out as they can no longer be out on calls who are you gonna let run the branch? I think you will see branch managers having to step up their game. I wish all those that lost positions today the best of luck. But banking has changed in the last 20 years and you have to evolve with it or find a new profession

What about East Tennessee area?
My wife who has been assistant manager for 12 years informed me of the call today citing her position being removed. We will learn more tomorrow about what this all entails but it sounds like some type of severance package is in the works or an option to apply at whatever new "position" is being developed, but no details and what kind of responsibility or pay is even involved with that.
The entire internal help desk is being outsourced. That's over 130 employees that supported the entire company.
Does this affect Elavon the merchant services side? It has felt like something has been going on behind the scenes. It happened last year at this time
I'm an assistant manager and yep getting the boot after 6 years and was told up for promotion for my own branch as I've always been a high performing employee. My branch manager is an id–t good luck with out us.
9 in Kentucky home mortgage were told they are being let go today. Nov 8 is the last day.
They found out 2 hours after this was posted. How did someone know it would be today? Weird
This is so WRONG. US Bank is letting their most experienced and seasoned employees go. There will not be enough banker jobs to keep them all.
2000 views in 6 hours. wow!
Are managing directors affected? How about MDs in Richfield...

Actually its not right that there will not be any full-time tellers, only some of those positions will be eliminated. Most will stay. It sounds like they are actually trying to keep and even add to positions that support customers.
We were told that everyone would be paid at least through much of January. The Dec. 20 is just the end of the notice period and then severance begins, which is good.
My wife got the call too she was an assis manager. No job as of 20th...we just had a baby :(
Is this really a surprise? Sadly the writing for this has been on the wall a long long time.
Does anyone know how much pay you will receive for your years of service? Does it max out?
Yes My Wife now has no job as of Dec 20th
They just laid off all the TCs and BAMsA
Call today. No more FT tellers, no more Assistant Branch managers. Expanded business banking roles. All in place by Jan 1. Very generic call.
They are getting rid of two major operational branch positions, Branch Assistant Manager and Teller Coordinator, and just going to have Branch Managers while moving toward NO full time tellers. The only FT employees will be bankers and the manager.
Sounds about right timing. There was an all day 2020 planning session last Thursday. Please keep updates.
