In other, other, alternate news today... After ALL of these years! ... Abraham Lincoln is STILL dead!
Following Carly's failure to integrate Compaq and HP, Mark came onboard. At first their was euphoria as he did posses a very strong P&L expertise. But the excitement soon dissipated as he destroyed essential IP. Removing him because of misconduct was essential, but the damage was already done. One can only wonder where HP would be today had the trend of promoting from within remained consistent.
