They have already communicated that vacation sell for health benefits is eliminated. And there is NO PAYOUT of ANY PTO benefits when you leave. And if you think you can take time off and come back to work and terminate employment, they will go back and cut all non-productive ("paid time") immediately prior to your termination.

Wait? You guys didn't read about this policy? Oh, that's right- peons like hourly employees don't receive any company or park policies, communication meetings, or anything else, really. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm charged for utilities used like a/c, or water in water fountains as part of our "benefit package." Charges for cleaning services would be optional - you can pay them, or start mopping floors and scrubbing toilets to avoid the cleaning/maintenance fees for services provided.

It was communicated to corp salaried team. Salaried vac presented as "unlimited" and we assumed hourly vac would be changed too. Sell back to pay for health benefits would be going away

I’m guessing they have learned that you can’t do it effectively in one pen strike, but you sure can do it when you have a long run plan and take a bite at a time........it will be served up in small doses and presented as alignment and opportunity. My Azz.

RE: To be clear person -

This is coming. its been leaked to some salaried. Texas ended up having a few people go to lawyers over it and that's partly why it has been delayed so much from being announced at Orlando. Its a sh– thing that I have already heard some leaders pull the line of "Well, it brings us in line with other businesses and we did a lot more then other companies." like that is supposed to be a good reason to take away a benefit of a long time employee.

I don't really have an issue with it if people who were not new hires would be grandfathered in. It preserves benefits for long time employees, shows some loyalty to them, and then will phase out over time as they retire/move on/or likely get laid off. Then new people who come on board fall under the new rules. That would really be the -best- way to do it. However we know they wont because there is no loyalty to long term employees.

So I sure hope leadership is ready for a c-apstorm when this does get announced.

It is NOT an opinion.

To be clear, I’m not asking for resources or anything. But is this just your opinion or have you heard something from someone that would know?

The “unlimited” vacation is kind of a Trojan horse - it means salaried employees are now guaranteed ZERO vacation days. It’s up to your supervisor to approve each day. Those of us who have been with the company 20+ years and earned 30 days of vacation no longer have a guarantee that we’ll be able to use all 30 days. (Have a demanding boss? Good luck getting all that time approved.) Also with zero promised days comes zero vacation payout when you leave, though I think they stopped doing that lately anyway in places other than California.

The reasons have already been there. That is just the band aid ripping off their is no company that has sunk so fast do to bad dessions being made at the top. Management has s—ed for at 3 years so the assistant supervisor don't care cause the ones above them don't and as far as morale it's been in the tank for along time now.
