I can finally post on here without worrying about losing my job. I worked at VZ for about 4 years. Loved it at the start, towards the end I hated it and it gave me anxiety just driving to work. So happy I am out of that place now. For anyone reading this, the grass can be greener on the other side. Yes the money was good at VZ for a bit, but life is so much better outside of that.
Verizon got rid of their customer service people and techs. They only look like Apple. VZ never had the leadership to pull off a true great customer experience. Cutting staff. They may be talking a big game on social media with hashtags, diversity and inclusion and selfies, but it's all BS. Internally, they destroyed what was a great company. So many employees are unhappy.
TMo is kicking butt. Look at the bad publiciity that VZ is getting on their "5 G" in NYC.
The key is to make these people feel like id–ts , we all know we probably could help them reset their passwords , but if there mouthy they can p*ss off and thats when you ask does your phone call, text, get internet? Well thats our business not facebook try calling them or whomever there issue is with. If somebody is nice and they realize its not our issue ill try to help but if there just jerks they will get nothing served up hot and fresh. Funny thing is this isnt even exclusive to old people, oh your numbnuts kid set a password on your iphone and forgot it? Well you have a nice expensive paper weight now, because its a security code designed so nobody can get in , people love to patronize so you gotta give it right back
Well said. Its crazy how customers get so upset when you cant reset their facebook password. They say "well i got the phone from you. Why cant you do it?" The stores have become a service center prerty much. The market is so saturated.
Oh yeah this article is a great way to see how a consumer looks at Verizon. What a person see Verizon as is a place to "activate a phone", "upgrade" or "add a line", "tech support", "customer support" &,l "to waste your time". As a former employee I don't buy my accessories there, I can find them cheaper for the most part and usually before I get a phone. It's sad how hard these rep push for a pull through item that gives them almost nothing in return. Tmp gives more than a hum and they push it as if their lives depend on it. I mean if Verizon's your bread and butter to make ends meets I would consider a line of work that makes a difference at the end of the day and pays more and has more dignity than having a pair of old people talking shhhiitt to you that you can't tell them their Facebook password or can't recover their photos yet they adamantly tell you it's your fault. Ahh those days suuckked so bad 😂
