Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Has Chaos Stalled the Layoffs?

Not hearing the usual end-of-quarter chatter about the next quarter's layoffs.

Not for a minute do I think that layoffs have been forgotten by the powers that be.

I'm wondering if the slings and arrows of lawsuits, activist investors and overall generally negative press has our rulers clutching their pearls and spinning in circles as they ponder what has gone wrong?

This level of distraction may have put them off the layoff hunt for bodies - we might just be able to skate through this next quarter.

Shhh - don't remind them, okay.

Don’t count on it. Layoffs will move forward. The 3rd quarter IEFS layoffs where canceled to swing votes on the contract.

They have a every intention to continue cuts. Especially with the rapid increase on n customer loss and the upcoming plan to retire uverse tv.

That is if workers don’t continue to quit fast enough. Work conditions are going backwards and the sales commission structure is about to change for the worse so I doubt that will slow down

If you read all the previous posts, you will find that human resources was overwhelmed processing the 3rd quarter layoffs. Those have been postponed. Some of the ones who were to be layed off 4th quarter will have that done 1st quarter 2020.
