I’m not looking for comments like: “we’re all doomed”, or “this is the worst company” ever, but on the other hand we can all see that the company doesn’t have any real vision with this leadership and is having a tough time getting up it’s media business. I’m looking for a few honest opinions on, what are T’s chances of making it in the media business, and how strong of a player can iyt be on that market, realistically?

Stankey will mess up TimeWarner just like he did DTV. The guy has no experience in media production and the talent is leaving. He was stupid enough to tell leaders not to push back as he has more TV experience than they have. Stephenson needs to go and an outsider brought in to clean up the lousy leadership Stephenson has in place which eventually includes Stinky Stankey

The company has ADHD. They will soon lose interest in TW and let it shrivel and die just like DTV while they pursue and overpay for the next “big idea.”
Meanwhile the surpluses will continue until morale improves.
Okay, to be perfectly blunt, T has a snowball's chance in h#ll of being a player in creative media. T is still run with the giant telephone company with a monopoly mentality. Management here has the micromanage, do everything by the book and kiss the as$ above you without questions or an independent thought of your own management style.
This is the absolute WORST type of management if you want to be a successful media company. The successful players in media are very creative in a very competitive field. T has never competed through creative excellence, they have competed with size. That isn't going to work this time.
Furthermore, we 0nly need look at T's track record with its previous acquisitions. T has a long history of acquiring dynamic companies and proceeding to destroy worker morale, upset and lose customers, and ruin everything made the company great in the first place.
100 percent. Have you forgotten we have "Friends"?. And now, wait for it....the Big Bang Theory! I hear the Brady Bunch as well as Hogans Heroes may be next!
Only with a wholesale change in leadership. I believe that finally the board may act. Stephenson will be gone. Stankey next. But not all at once. That would spell chaos. I do believe this will happen.
2 chances .... slim and none ... i'd put money on the latter
No

Maybe if the talent at TW stayed, but a lot of it left and some went to other places when a stank entered the room.
In Time Warner they bought a bunch of toys that have value. The problem is can anyone see them keeping their hands off of the creative side who needs to produce new toys for the next 10 years? I don't see creative talented folks flourishing and producing quality toys under the cloud of The Deathstar.
They are a day late, dollar short, overpay for their assets and skate to where the puck is and not where it is going.
With the latest law suit alleging fraudulent practices ( cooking the books), I don’t see T being in business in the future. They will, and are losing too many customers and their trust.
Nope
not a chance.
