Oh, there are other bad RM's. Some just keep their heads down and do nothing. As long as they have a job, they don't care. Nothing good, nothing bad, just status quo. Its frustrating. Just make sure you dont pop up on the radar or they will throw you under the bus.

Shame on a RM, not the one referred to here, for sending in another SM, under the guise of helping only to be ‘spying’ & reporting back on the activities in the store. And this SM is losing 2nd store soon.
So much for each & every associate.

Wouldn't it be great to have some kind of role reversal week where the gvps and vps have to run the store for a week? I think they would cry trying to work within the ridiculous budgets and so forth.

And sometimes there are way too many chiefs, who either have never worked in a store or did so many years ago, giving overlapping, mixed signal directives, loading more work on an already short staffed store associates. Of course without appreciating what positives have been achieved only looking for the negatives.

We're all wondering the same thing. Maybe scooter is related to the gvp. This can't look good for her either. They both need to go. Where's the consequences for her actions making 2 horrible decisions? Which led to multiple horrible hiring decisions and inactions on Scooters part. No confidence in leadership.

So now the WI regional has almost 40 stores including the Starbucks in the home office (which makes no sense) and Scooter barely has 25 stores? Yeah something is going on.

There is only one on the list that, geographically, makes some sense. The others? Maybe someone is taking notes? The newest in the region hasn't been under her wing long and that's been moved out.

So, even more of a reason for someone to be promoting Follett wouldn't ya think? Showing up to meet school contacts instead of canceling?
All the work people do at store level (& this is everyone) is for nothing if you have upper management who are indifferent to the point where they never visit the schools or have zero contact with them.

A lot in this region are left to fend for themselves it seems because Scooter (& the rest of upper management) is notably absent!
But, no one listens...till the major stores lose their contracts then, maybe, someone will scratch their head and take notice?

I work far from 41 and I use Scooter as a warning when reinforcing my store’s need to fend for itself whenever possible.
