Such a great example of toxic leadership in this company. By all measures, outsourcing is a significant miss. Business partners have made it crystal clear that IT service levels have dropped so far that the day-to-day processes are at continual risk. Remaining IT staff have indicated that pensions and severance are the core reasons why they have not left. Yet a literal army of IT leaders continue to claim victory - based on hundreds of posts to the contrary, they are either incompetent or lying. So how many of them have been held accountable??? How do these leadership “clubs” continue to dodge the axe??? Is JD now the all encompassing scape goat for all that is wrong with IT??? Should we not be seeing a wave of Sr Directors and up being terminated for failure to deliver???

Well in this org. Failed leaders are promoted never have I seen them leave.

"Incompetent or lying" I think it is incompetent and lying. Anyone that has taken on a new complex role knows that KT, while important, does not make you an expert. Knowledge and experience together is needed to be complement in the role and able to resolve issues quickly.
To show you how removed from reality the SLT are, first they figured that simple KT would automatically make the contractor experts in their roles. Then they canned the FTE SME that had years of experience. Then when service levels began to slip they instructed their directs not to tell their business partners that the challenges were due to outsourcing. I have no doubt that now they are blaming those responsible for KT for not doing a good job.
The SLT's have one goal in mind, that is to earn the very fat bonuses they have been paid for reducing headcount and costs. Will they be held accountable? Never, their first commandment is "cover thy butt" and they will scape goats to tar so they can remain blameless.
I had over 2 decades with the company before I was let go in Feb and during that time I have never seen any senior leader being let go because of incompetence and I doubt that things have changed for the better.
