Areas and positions that are declared surplus will have a specific number of off-payroll staff permitted to leave.
Geographic Areas that not declared surplus will still have a limited offering.
CWA/IBEW has been assured that essential positions vacated by senior staff will be filled through SPV's first then new hires.

I am CWA District 1 and we have no knowledge of any package.
Members of my executive board here in PA were told Monday but didn't have all details only incentives were being offered with time and years off dates by December.
Can you supply a link to any IBEW or other site that verifies this?
This is done guys it's officially here the IBEW potamic region has details CWA District One also is fully aware.

^^^^^ This is how you know the OP is full of it. Verizon doesn’t consider any of the Union employees essential. And even if they did, they darn sure wouldn’t backfill anyone. There’s no work to begin with.

No brainer, new hires no pension, pension insurance, we are running 25% disabilty steady for many yrs. New hires would be next to nothing absence rate. Plus a fraction of the salary.
